regional development in the communities 
surrounding its operations. The Company 
seeks to generate long-term social and

JAGUAR NICKEL PROJECT
Over recent years, Centaurus has provided 
extensive support to local communities 
surrounding the Jaguar Project, including 
upgrades to local roads and bridges, 
installation of water management culverts, 
and the provision of vehicles, diesel and 
health equipment to support municipal 
services.
The Company also supports community 
events and environmental initiatives, 
including sporting activities and 
environmental campaigns such as River 
Margin Clean-up Day, and contributes through 
volunteer labour, awareness programs and 
donations of equipment and materials.
BOI NOVO PROJECT 
As part of its commitment to sustainable 
development and in compliance with 
Condition No. 5 of the for the Operating 
Licence for the BNP, Centaurus supported 
the Cooperativa RECICLASSU, a women-led 
recycling  
cooperative in Igarapé-Açu, Pará.
Through an agreement with the Instituto 
de Desenvolvimento Amazônia Sustentável 
(IDEASSU), the Company donated operational 
equipment and materials, including a 
hydraulic pallet truck, industrial digital 
scale, recycling carts, personal protective 
equipment and material-handling tools.
The initiative supports circular economy 
practices, strengthens women’s participation 
in local economic activities and was 
recognised by the State Secretariat for 
Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS) 
as a positive example of community-based 
environmental initiatives.
Through partnerships that generate positive 
social impact, Centaurus reinforces its 
commitment to responsible mining and to 
supporting the development and wellbeing of 
the  communities in which we operate.
